Privacy Policy

Reg Compass Inc. (hereinafter the “Company”) hereby establishes the following personal information protection policy (privacy policy) (hereinafter this “Policy”) with respect to the personal information the Company uses in the course of its business, and will comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations and strive to handle personal information appropriately.

Article 1.  Collection of Personal Information

When the Company collects personal information, it will use lawful and fair means.

Article 2.  Purposes of Use of Personal Information

The Company will use personal information collected from the individual concerned only for the following purposes, except where the individual’s consent has been obtained separately.

1. Where the Company obtains personal information from customers (including prospective customers) and other parties through its business:
   For the purposes of contacting customers and other parties; checking for conflicts of interest and performing other administrative work relating to engagements; public relations, proposals, and administrative procedures relating to the Company’s business; and otherwise carrying out the Company’s business.
   
2. Where the Company obtains personal information from persons seeking to become officers or employees of the Company:
   For the purposes of recruitment activities and carrying out matters incidental thereto.
   
3. Where the Company obtains personal information from persons undertaking internships or other training at the Company:
   For the purposes of training at the Company and carrying out matters incidental thereto.
   
4. Where the Company obtains personal information from persons who participate in or apply for lectures, study sessions, and similar events:
   For the purposes of carrying out lectures, study sessions, and other matters incidental thereto, as well as public relations and proposals relating to lectures, study sessions, and similar events and public relations and proposals relating to the Company’s business.

Article 3.  Provision to Third Parties

Except where permitted by laws and regulations, the Company will not provide collected personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual concerned. However, this shall not apply where the Company has personal information handled by a contractor over which the Company can exercise appropriate supervision, or where personal information is transferred in connection with business succession such as a merger.

Article 4.  Disclosure, Correction, and Suspension of Use

When the Company receives a request from an individual for disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of collected personal information addressed to the contact point specified in Article 7 of this Policy, the Company will respond in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

However, where the request does not satisfy the requirements set forth in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, or where there are grounds under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations on which disclosure or other action may be refused, the Company may be unable to accommodate the request.

In addition, the Company may require a reasonable amount of time for internal administrative procedures, and may charge the actual costs required for the work involved.

Article 5.  Security Control Measures

The Company will appropriately manage the personal information it has collected so as to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, leakage, and the like, and will appropriately supervise its employees and contractors.
